Learning Myofascial Release
6/28/2015 - It has been a very busy past few months at the office. From February until now, I've improved the office (electric table, aromatherapy, new decor), and focused on my continuing education to better serve my clients. In February, I took 20 hours of continuing education in Myofascial Release. Between that time and the end of June, I've been studying & practicing Myofascial Release and taking another 20 continuing education hours towards Myoascial Release. What is Myofascial Release? Think of it as a gentler approach to deep tissue massage. You can read more about it HERE. Each and every day, I continue to expand my knowledge in order to help my clients with their muscle dysfunctions.
3/4/2015 - Have you ever bought a new car? It smells great, looks nice, and it drives smooth. Since it was a new car, you knew it was trustworthy on the road. Of course, we all know that doesn't last forever. Time goes by, and that shiny new car will eventually need maintenance after some time on the road. Does that sound familiar? How do people relate to the wear and tear of automobiles? Read more HERE.
3/2/2015 - Always wanted to give a better massage? Now you can! This 120 minute workshop teaches partners on how to massage more effectively. Shawn Belles, LMT will teach simple techniques to specific areas on the body (neck, back, feet, etc.) that will improve your massage abilities. This private workshop is taught within the massage office. More details and booking this course can be found HERE.
Nope, please don't come in today - Blog Post
2/10/15 - It should be common sense when to know not to come in for a massage. However this blog post goes more in depth of when it isn't the best idea to come in for a massage. Read more about it HERE.
1/20/15 - I wanted to write this for anyone getting a massage wondering if they should tip or not. I've been frequently asked in my own practice about tipping. I will address it not only for my own practice, but covering the massage industry as a whole in the US. Read more HERE.

Chronic aches and pains?
1/01/15 - There are so many people that need to see me more often for the chronic pains that they have to endure day in and day out. The common excuse for not seeing me of course is that it's too costly to get consistent massage. I hear this excuse often as people will pay $30/$40 co-pays for the chiropractor as they go 2-3 times a week. I hear this excuse as people will pay $50-$100 for primary medical care that will prescribe painkiller medications for some of these issues.
What do I propose? I'd like to see you at least once a week for 4 weeks to work on your muscle problems. I'll do 30 minute focus massages to the areas that need it most. I'll charge $95 upfront for these 4 sessions (you end up getting a free massage in the savings). That's right, you can get 4 massages for under $100 (which some places will charge over $100 for one massage). That's a pretty good deal for consistent massage for your chronic aches and pains. Ready to schedule today? Contact me today! Want to see my other package deals? Click HERE.
